ABOUT

In Fundamentals is a psychosocial consulting practice devoted to individual support, psychoeducation, and integrated mental–physical resilience training.

I am Elena, founder of InFundamentals and a psychosocial consultant dedicated to supporting individuals navigating stress, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, and crisis-related challenges through comprehensive, personalized care.

With over a decade of holistic training, including an MA in International Psychology, RYT-500 yoga certification, and studies in Ayurveda, Tai Chi, Traditional Chinese Medicine, nutrition, and depth psychology, I bring an integrative understanding of emotional regulation, embodiment, and human adaptation.

APPROACH

My practice is grounded in the biopsychosocial model and informed by global mental health perspectives, physiological regulation, and resilience science.

Our inner state does not exist in isolation. Emotional and physiological responses emerge through ongoing dialogue with relationships, cultural influences, responsibilities, and the structural realities of daily life. Rather than pathologizing distress, these responses are understood as meaningful adaptations to lived experience.

Our work together examines how you function within your environment, whether it supports or strains wellbeing, where challenges originate, and where pathways for change may exist. Inner resources, external supports, and points of misalignment are mapped to build systems that strengthen both personal resilience and social functioning.

The intention is not only inner clarity, but outer coherence, ensuring that psychological insight can be lived, expressed, and embodied within daily life and community.

Operating within a psychosocial framework, I assess the dynamic interaction between internal processes and external life environments in shaping wellbeing.

CRISIS
NAVIGATION

A core dimension of my consulting is teaching strategic thinking and crisis navigation at the individual level.

Periods of uncertainty, disruption, or emotional overload require more than coping, they require orientation.

You learn to assess situations with clarity, regulate internal responses under pressure, and make decisions from grounded awareness rather than reactivity.

The aim is to strengthen the inner architecture that allows a person not only to withstand crisis, but to move through it with discernment and adaptive strength.

RESILIENCE BUILDING

The resilience building process is informed by research on coping strategies and self-efficacy and draws on Theory of Change framework, viewing adaptive capacity as something that can be developed intentionally.

Together, we map existing strengths, protective factors, and external supports, identifying areas of strain or resource gaps. From this foundation, we define desired outcomes and build structured pathways toward them, strengthening emotional regulation, coping strategies, cognitive flexibility, and relational resilience.

Resilience is approached as a dynamic process that supports sustainable recovery, long-term functioning, and the capacity to navigate future challenges with greater stability.

MIND-BODY OPTIMIZATION

I place special emphasis on the physical dimension of psychological wellbeing.

The body carries experience long before the mind gives it language. Stress, trauma, and overwhelm manifest physiologically, through tension patterns, breath, posture, and energy regulation.

Through guided examining sessions, you learn to read what their body communicates, what it holds, what it resists, and what it needs.

This work develops body literacy, the capacity to hear and interpret one’s own physical signals, restoring dialogue between mind and body.

Thriving emerges when both systems move in synchronization.

PROCESS

The consulting work follows a clear yet spacious process.

We begin by understanding the foundation of your current situation, the forces shaping it, and the signals emerging from both mind and body.

From there, we define desired shifts and outcomes, not as abstract goals, but as lived states of being.

We then strategize the path forward, identifying internal adjustments, external changes, and available resources.

Finally, we build a personalized toolbox of practices and frameworks that support regulation, resilience, and long-term alignment.

The work is both reflective and strategic. Insight is paired with application.

Sessions are collaborative, reflective, and practical. The focus is on helping you understand yourself more deeply and develop strategies that align with your life, body, and authentic direction.

PHYSICAL & EMBODIMENT-BASED GUIDANCE

As an extension of psychosocial and resilience work, I offer individualized physical guidance, with yoga serving as a foundational base.

Sessions integrate a range of embodiment-based approaches designed to support nervous system regulation, physical awareness, and adaptive resilience. Based on individual needs, this may include guided work in meditation, breath regulation, relaxation techniques, and movement-based practices informed by Tai Chi and other somatic traditions.

Physical patterns, posture, and energy regulation are assessed through both traditional movement frameworks and contemporary mind–body understanding, supporting deeper awareness of how stress and experience are held physiologically. Where appropriate, I draw from holistic health perspectives, including principles found in Ayurveda and cross-cultural wellness traditions, alongside modern knowledge of stress physiology and recovery.

Guidance may include supportive recommendations related to nutrition, restorative routines, and lifestyle practices that contribute to overall regulation and sustainable wellbeing.

The aim is to restore bodily wellness, with a focus on integration, self-awareness, and sustainable physical resilience.
